I had some great stuff come in the mail this past week - it also made me realize that I probably need to take a break from buying fabric for awhile before I can get some more sewing done.
This is the "Washi" by Rashida Coleman for Timeless Treasures. I'm using a few small bits for a pillowcase and I have to say I'm impressed. The fabric is very soft and I just love the colors. My fav prints is the ones in the bottom right hand corner - they look like colorful scotch tape.
The next fabric is "Hello Pilgrim" by Lizzy House. Love it! I found this little bundle on Etsy - it includes everything in the collection except for the jewels (12 extra prints I think?). I'm not very fussy on the jewels and maybe I'll order them at a later date or choose some solids. We'll see. The colors in this collection are a bit different, but I like it. I think I will be turning this into a twin quilt for my youngest daughter when she moves to a big bed. Maybe some large hexies?
And of course, Flea Market Fancy, by Denyse Schmidt! I have been waiting anxiously for these yummy prints. I would like to order some yardage, but I was waiting to see the fabric in person before I decided what I liked best and wanted more of. Conclusion? I just love the blue print with the pink flowers! Totally a perfect quilt back.
So, that's the week in fabric. I have also been hard at work sewing (amongst many other things) and hopefully I'll have some pictures to show soon. I had another nephew arrive, so I've been busy finishing another baby quilt. I had a run in with the LQS shop ladies again - but more about that later. I also have great ideas for an overhaul on the look of my blog. The problem is, where will I find the time?
