Finished Quilt Top - Aviary 2

So, in my last post I declared that I needed to get some more sewing done and that's just what I did!  I have another quilt completion that I will post about early next week (needs to be gifted first) and I also finished this lovely quilt top. 

I have had this quilt top in my design book for months - I came up with it when I was a craft show in the fall and was needing something to do, so I though of a quilt top.  I was inspired by the fabric in this case - Joel Dewberry's Aviary 2.  When I saw the fabric, I thought - what a perfect boy quilt.  Who doesn't love turquoise and brown?

I hope to finish this quilt soon as it needs to go to it's new home soon (the baby will be here in not too long!).  I just love how perfect all my piecing came together.  I am really proud of how far I have come as a quilter in the past year :)
