I finished these lovely pillow covers a little while ago with Aneela Hoey's Sherbet Pips collection. I just love this collection!
My Soul Blossom Pillow covers were looking a little worn - I made them over a year ago and they have been well used by my children and my nephews. I figured it might be nice to have an extra pair of covers when I needed to wash them (they get dirty fast!).
It was fun to make something out of fabric I love, that I also get to keep! I was also happy to see how much my sewing & quilting skills have improved since I first started sewing: straighter quilting lines for one! I also embraced cotton batting which is good since my soul blossom pillows have Poly batting (its starting to pill).
I quilted these with two 1/4" lines on either side of the seam with metallic thread - my goto for pillow cases. I chose my favorite prints - the dogs in pink & scooters in blue - for the backs of the covers.
Beautiful pillows!!! Love the fabric combination!!!
